Cox Electric was an invention of necessity. In 2009 there wasn’t enough construction work out there to pay the mortgage. With four small daughters and only a small savings the choices were buy some fish or buy a boat. Zandi went all in on the boat idea.

Cox Electric was founded in Zandi’s living room January of 2010. The American Dream is alive and well here at Cox Electric.

Site Electrical Infrastructure project that required concise planning and execution to install electrical underground ahead of lift equipment placement of seven pre-fabricated, four-sided, EV charger distribution equipment skids powered by a new 2000A electrical service located on a multi-acre site.

Cox Electric produced a detailed set of underground layout drawings for this project that were adopted by the customer nationwide. USPS Salem 2025.

Julians goal is to become the next generation Cox Electric ownership.

Today, he manages the commercial lighting division servicing hundreds of projects and customers every year. Anthony’s amazing attitude is contagious. Anthony shares in the goal of becoming the next generation of Cox Electric owner operators.

Tania does the heavy lifting of keeping our job costing up to date with no lag. Tania’s passion is weekly payroll and monthly bank statement reconcilliation… like actually for reals. Tania’s superpower is her appreciation for all people, she is a true diversity champion.

Scott is our go to guy for finding safe solutions to complex logistical challanges. Getting large things in small places and heavy things in high places. Scott’s passion is quality construction means and methods that will stand up to the test of time and even mild abuse.

He brought over 30 years experience in commercial electrical contracting. Opie has run many varied large and complex electrical construction projects over his career. He is an amazing teacher who exemplifies our company values and culture.

Cox since 2014. Jesse started at Cox at as general laborer and come up through the apprenticeship. His passion is residential construction which harolds back to the early days at Cox Electric before we had the capacity to take on large commercial work. Jesse enjoys one on one interactions with customers and giving them the absolute best customer service.

Cox since 2021. Ethan “Wang” started with Cox as a lighting technician and quickly moved up. Apprentice of the year and winner of the 2026 IEC wire off competition. Ethan is intelligent, professional and an extremely gifted electrician. Ethan’s passion is education and mastry of new electrical skills. He is going to boost Cox Electric to the next level as he grows professionally.

Cox since 2021. Ethan “Dang” started as a lighting technician and quickly moved up. Ethan is an absolute workhorse. He is the first and the last person every day to check in with our site and office management teams and see what else needs done. He takes ownership in the Cox warehouse and is the company go to person if you need to find, get or fabricate anything. Fun fact… Ethan is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino).

Cox since 2020. Lance started with Cox as a lighting technician and once we got to really know him, we found his higher calling. Lance is a down to earth, honest guy with an expertise in LED lighting upgrades and retrofits. He is extremely knowledgeable about the process of upgrading every conceiveable existing building space to new LED lighting and controls. Lance is passionate about solutions and utility incentives to make new LED lighting possible for all customers.
