Our Story
Humble Beginnings
Thumbs up to all the firsts. First gently used uhaul box van cleaned up with fresh logos. First “real” shop a whopping 900sf. First “real” employee on the payroll and indentured into the Electrical Apprenticeship program. Photo circa 2012.
Cox Electric was an invention of necessity. In 2009 there wasn’t enough construction work out there to pay the mortgage. With four small daughters and only a small savings the choices were buy some fish or buy a boat. Zandi went all in on the boat idea.
Cox Electric was founded in Zandi’s living room January of 2010. The American Dream is alive and well here at Cox Electric.

My have we grown. Check this out! Site Electrical Infrastructure project that required concise planning and execution to install electrical underground ahead of lift equipment placement of seven pre-fabricated, four-sided, EV charger distribution equipment skids powered by a new 2000A electrical service located on a multi-acre site.
Cox Electric produced a detailed set of underground layout drawings for this project that were adopted by the customer nationwide. USPS Salem 2025.
From early layout planning through underground coordination and final installation readiness, this work reflects the kind of organized field execution Cox Electric brings to complex commercial infrastructure projects. Detailed planning, dependable crews, and a commitment to safety help us deliver efficient results on demanding sites of every size.

Zandi Stuart
President
20+ years commercial construction experience. Founder, owner, estimator, project manager, new cool business process tool maker. Voice of reason. Team caption and cheerleader of the COX BIG 5 culture. Since I am also the IT department and the web designer I can tell you in the first person that I have a passion for my people and an energy for my projects that is undeniable. I love this job!
Julian Egoroff
Estimator & Project Manager
COX since 2013. Oregon General Electrical Signing Supervisor. Julian completed his apprenticeship with Cox Electric and has pushed himself to learn and grow since day one. Julian’s focus is on commercial estimating and project mangement. His passion is successful large commercial projects that end with customer invitations to bid more projects. Julians goal is to become the next generation Cox Electric ownership.
Anthony Opulencia
Lighting & Service Project Manager
COX since 2021. Oregon General Jouneyman Electrican. Anthony joined Cox Electric and started his managment career with us as a commercial project Foreman. Today, he manages the commercial lighting division servicing hundreds of projects and customers every year. Anthony’s amazing attitude is contagious. Anthony shares in the goal of becoming the next generation of Cox Electric owner operators.
Tania Brammer
Finance & H/R Manager
COX since 2020. Tania came to Cox Electric with over 20 years of construction back office experience. Tania is our watchdog for all things financial, compliance and human resources. Tania does the heavy lifting of keeping our job costing up to date with no lag. Tania’s passion is weekly payroll and monthly bank statement reconcilliation… like actually for reals. Tania’s superpower is her appreciation for all people, she is a true diversity champion.
Shelby Cox
Office Manager
COX since birth. Shelby worked as an administrative assistant through high school and recently returned to Cox with her own found passion for the company. Shelby is our go to person when every little detail matters; things being done accurately, put in the right place, completed by the right time with a good attitude no exceptions. Like answering the phone with a cheerful voice ready to help out every time you call us.
Dennis Stacey
Commercial Electrical Foreman
Cox since 2011. Dennis was our first ever employee and has been a huge part of the our success. He is a strong leader and a patient teacher. Dennis is our no drama straightforward get ‘er done guy. Dennis prides himself in projects completed on time and on budget. He says success is about coordination and communication. His style is “Buckle in, work hard & go home,” and “Install it your very best because that is what makes us all the best”
Scott Kelley
Commercial Electrical Foreman
Cox since 2016. Scott has over 30 years of construction experience. Cox Electric is Scott’s second job ever and he tells us also his last. Scott is our go to guy for finding safe solutions to complex logistical challanges. Getting large things in small places and heavy things in high places. Scott’s passion is quality construction means and methods that will stand up to the test of time and even mild abuse.
Liberty Opulencia
Commercial Electrical Foreman
Cox since 2025. Liberty “Opie” is one of the newest electricans on the Cox team and we feel fortunate that he wanted to join us. He brought over 30 years experience in commercial electrical contracting. Opie has run many varied large and complex electrical construction projects over his career. He is an amazing teacher who exemplifies our company values and culture.
Jesse Sisto
Residential Foreman
Cox since 2014. Jesse started at Cox at as general laborer and come up through the apprenticeship. His passion is residential construction which harolds back to the early days at Cox Electric before we had the capacity to take on large commercial work. Jesse enjoys one on one interactions with customers and giving them the absolute best customer service.
Ethan Wang
Electrical Junior Foreman
Cox since 2021. Ethan “Wang” started with Cox as a lighting technician and quickly moved up. Apprentice of the year and winner of the 2026 IEC wire off competition. Ethan is intelligent, professional and an extremely gifted electrician. Ethan’s passion is education and mastry of new electrical skills. He is going to boost Cox Electric to the next level as he grows professionally.
Ethan Davis
Electrical Junior Foreman
Cox since 2021. Ethan “Dang” started as a lighting technician and quickly moved up. Ethan is an absolute workhorse. He is the first and the last person every day to check in with our site and office management teams and see what else needs done. He takes ownership in the Cox warehouse and is the company go to person if you need to find, get or fabricate anything. Fun fact… Ethan is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino).
Lance Dyer
Lighting Sales Manager
Cox since 2020. Lance started with Cox as a lighting technician and once we got to really know him, we found his higher calling. Lance is a down to earth, honest guy with an expertise in LED lighting upgrades and retrofits. He is extremely knowledgeable about the process of upgrading every conceiveable existing building space to new LED lighting and controls. Lance is passionate about solutions and utility incentives to make new LED lighting possible for all customers.
